Why risk expensive oil spills when we have leak-free hydraulic couplings for construction machines?

Construction machines and mobile hydraulics are constantly subjected to extreme workloads - that’s their work description. Machine failure does not feature on any manager’s wish-list, but working faster and covering more ground does. So when machine failure and oil spillage occur, service work needs to be fast and smooth and, most importantly, it needs to be safe. The cost of an oil refill is reason enough to avoid spillage, not to mention environmental regulations and possible penalties. To avoid unnecessary service time/costs CEJN has developed a wide range of high-performance, environmentally-friendly hydraulic fittings to put operation managers at ease.

WEO Plug-In, when space is limitied

A CEJN customer who manufactures wheel loaders, experienced a problem with extremely limited space between the cabin and chassis that led to an unnecessarily long assembly time and oil leakage. The company was therefore looking for a new solution.

It was necessary for 12 hydraulic hoses to be implemented and put in place before the cabin could be fixed on to the chassis, a tricky operation due to the limited space. The tools were too bulky, tightening the old screw fittings was difficult and oil leakage was frequently revealed during leakage tests. Valuable time and money was lost when the wheel loader’s hose assembly needed to be refitted.

When we recommended using WEO plug-in couplings and nipples, the customer recognized the advantages immediately and decided to replace the whole system. Today, the hose is simply plugged in by hand and the switch to WEO has provided more space in the chassis for the hoses to move freely. The customer is extremely pleased with the switch to WEO fittings and now enjoys dramatically shortened assembly times, extra space under the chassis and the elimination of leaks.

TLX – Hydraulic couplings that stands when others fall

The most common reason for failure of screw-to-connect couplings in heavy duty applications is high surge flow. For example, when a crusher is used on concrete, it builds up high pressure just before it bites through the material and an extreme surge flow occurs at the moment it bites through. This surge flow can be several times greater than the ordinary flow rate through the machine and is a frequent cause of coupling failures. The solution so far has been to use bulky, oversized couplings at a much higher cost. The new solution is CEJN’s TLX hydraulic coupling series.

Multi-X multi-coupling increases profit

A rental company specializing in wheel loaders and excavators frequently experienced problems with customers returning damaged couplings that connected to several attachments. The damaged couplings were expensive to replace and caused equipment downtime and profit loss for the company.

The customer noticed CEJN’s Multi-X Duo 10 multi-coupling plates at an exhibition and took an immediate interest. CEJN representatives explained that the durable coupling plates required only a minimum of effort to connect and disconnect, making attachments quick and easy to fit to the machine.
